I have been writing since I was a little girl. I always loved telling stories, and I knew that one day I would love nothing more than to make a career out of it. Although writing has been my “not-so secret” hobby, I took a break from it for some time to pursue my professional degree in Speech Pathology. After life settled down and I had finished my degree and got my license in speech language pathology, I got back to writing and editing a story I have had in the works since 2009. This idea has been on my mind for sometime, and I am so excited to finally bring Dreamwalkers to life. Thanks for helping be a part of that process!
I am a first-time author but a life-long reader. I live in Huntsville, AL, with my husband, Karl. By day, I am a speech language pathologist, enjoying teaching patients of all ages to communicate effectively. By night, I am an avid reader and young adult/fantasy writer, seeking to create new ideas and worlds that defy the boring limits of our reality. I am inspired by authors such as J.R.R. Tolkein, J.K. Rowling, and Victoria Aveyard.
When I am not writing, I am spending my time working with children with disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other neurodevelopmental disorders to improve their speech and language skills. When my husband, Karl, and I are not spending time traveling (which we truly love to do), the weekends are monopolized by my sweet fur-baby, Daisy, who enjoys nothing more than a good game of tug-o-war.
